Pinus parviflora 'Kin po'

Pinus parviflora 'Kin po' is a delightful dwarf selection of Japanese white pine. This cultivar is distinguished through twisted, brush-like clusters of of dark, blue-green needles appearing along spreading branches, some of which may be exposed to show off the gray, textured bark. Gently curved shoots, accented with attractive small cones provide great appeal in the rockery or small garden. Typical growth rate for 'Kin po' is 2 to 4 inches (5 -10 cm) per year, producing a small gem of a pine 32 inches (80 cm) tall and 20 inches (50 cm) wide after 10 years in the garden.
